In the situation of an active school shooter, there are hundreds of law enforcement officers, EMTs, firemen, and other emergency responders arriving on scene. Unfortunately, most responders are usually not on the same page. Schools assume that law enforcement and first responders know the layout of the building, when in reality most have actually rarely been inside. 911 callers sometimes are only able to give very minimal information because the caller may be a small child or someone outside the school. In the case of an active school shooter, there will be hundreds of Law Enforcement officers, EMTs, firefighters, and first responders reacting to the call with a lot of confusion to go along with it. Confusion is the biggest killer as it causes and creates analysis paralysis. Over thinking on what to do and never actually doing anything. In most cases of an active shooter, Law Enforcement is going into a school building they have never been in, blindly, overwhelmed, and unorganized.
All Responders Connected (A.R.C.) enables and supports law enforcement, first responders, dispatchers, and school staff members by coordinating a comprehensive training plan for use during dangerous situations to optimize safety and reduce miscommunications that could lead to injury.
